Zenobia has a rich background in the fields of communication arts and education. A home educator for 20 years, she has also taught in public and private schools, K – college. She is an avid proponent for teaching to a student’s strengths which, she says, “means that educators must first learn and then teach to their students’ learning styles, helping them to understand those of their instructors.” Another area of emphasis that is deemed of high importance is the development of critical analyses through writing and high order thinking.
Zenobia believes that education, at its rawest, is “central to defining and refining where we are headed as a society.” She co-authored a student success anthology that is being used as a course text to help new faculty plan and navigate their first years of teaching. She is also on the faculty of the writing department at the University of Maryland University College, teaching advanced business writing.
